March Speaker: Heather Hesse

Heather Hesse is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and her Master’s in Social Work at the University of South Florida. Heather has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field.   

She has worked at the Spokane VA as a clinical social worker since 2009 and is currently the coordinator of the Spokane VA’s Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program. 

Her certifications include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Strength at Home and Recovery from IPV through Strength and Empowerment (RISE).   

When not working at the VA, Heather is a subcontractor in the state of WA completing PASRR evaluations.  And, when not working, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, preparing to be an empty nester as her 2nd child finishes high school and dreaming of a future move to a warmer weather coastal state.
